Jackie's drawing 'Living Rooms' has been shortlisted for the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize. Supported by the Trinity Buoy Wharf Trust, the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize is selected from original drawings and led by its founding Director, Professor Anita Taylor, since 1994. Kaipo Che Residency and Exhibition
January 2019
Jackie was selected for a 3-week residency in Gujarat to experience the kite festival and immerse herself in the artist community in the city of Baroda. This fully funded opportunity was organised by ARTCORE in Derby who have strong links with the city.
Working alongside Indian artists and two other artists from the UK, Jackie made work for a group show at the Reliance Township Arts Centre. The ink drawings now form part of the collection.
A presentation at the University, cultural trips to architectural gems and participation in the kite festival formed part of an amazing cultural exchange.

Residency and exhibition.
Created a drawing 8ft x 15ft in charcoal.

This was a collaboration with Alison Whitmore and an artist exchange with Harrington Mill Studios. The two artists made a drawing in the window gallery Art on Armitage, responding to the street scene. Jackie and Alison mentally divided the drawing into nine sections and set the timer to move round the different parts so that the work did not become a piece of two halves.

Extracting Anatomy
April 2002

For three years Jackie worked on a body of work which was inspired by the human anatomy. This culminated in three solo shows. As part of her studies she worked at the Queen's Medical Centre in the pathology department. Despite being squemish, Jackie overcame her fears to look at preserved organs and antomical models. Staff at the hospital suggested showing work at the Royal College of Pathologists in London where practioners from all over the world gathered.
